This Rich Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake with a Crunchy Hazelnut Crust is a decadent and delicious dessert. This recipe combines the sweetness of chocolate with the nutty taste of hazelnuts in a creamy and crunchy treat.

Ingredients:

Crust:
– 2 cups of hazelnut meal
– ½ cup of melted butter
– 1/3 cup of cocoa powder
– ¼ cup of brown sugar

Cheesecake Filling:
– 2 packages (8 oz. each) of cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup of granulated sugar
– 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
– 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
– 2 eggs
– 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
– ½ cup of chopped hazelnuts

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. To make the crust, combine the hazelnut meal, melted butter, cocoa powder and brown sugar in a medium bowl. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared springform pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add cocoa powder, vanilla extract and eggs and mix until fully combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips and the chopped hazelnuts.
  6. Pour the batter over the crust and bake for 25-30 minutes until the center is set.
