This Rich Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake with a Crunchy Hazelnut Crust is a decadent and delicious dessert. This recipe combines the sweetness of chocolate with the nutty taste of hazelnuts in a creamy and crunchy treat.
Ingredients:
Crust:
– 2 cups of hazelnut meal
– ½ cup of melted butter
– 1/3 cup of cocoa powder
– ¼ cup of brown sugar
Cheesecake Filling:
– 2 packages (8 oz. each) of cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup of granulated sugar
– 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
– 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
– 2 eggs
– 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
– ½ cup of chopped hazelnuts
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- To make the crust, combine the hazelnut meal, melted butter, cocoa powder and brown sugar in a medium bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared springform pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add cocoa powder, vanilla extract and eggs and mix until fully combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and the chopped hazelnuts.
- Pour the batter over the crust and bake for 25-30 minutes until the center is set.
