Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vegan butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup grated beetroot
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, coconut sugar, maple syrup, grated beetroot, almond milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
