Ingredients:
- 2 large apples
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Optional:
1/2 cup heavy cream
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Peel and core the apples, then cut them into small cubes.
- In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together, then add to the apples and mix until evenly coated.
- Unfold the puff pastry sheets and place one on a lightly floured surface.
- Arrange the apple cubes evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
Optional:

- Place the second sheet of puff pastry over the apples and press down to seal the edges.
- Cut the pastry into triangles with a knife or pizza cutter and transfer to a greased baking sheet.
- Brush the turnovers with melted butter and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
