Classic Quiche Lorraine

This classic quiche Lorraine recipe is made with bacon, Gruyere cheese, eggs, and heavy cream baked in a flaky crust. Perfect for brunch or a special occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and prick the bottom with a fork.
  3. Scatter the bacon and cheese over the bottom of the crust.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Pour the egg mixture into the crust.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
