This Brie and Apple Quiche in a Honey-Walnut Crust is a savory and sweet dinner or brunch dish that is packed with flavor. The buttery walnut crust is combined with a creamy brie and tart apple filling, and sweetened with a hint of honey for a delicious and unique combination.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup grated brie cheese
  • 2 apples, peeled and chopped

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch tart pan with butter and set aside.
  2. In a food processor, combine walnuts, melted butter, and honey. Pulse until combined and the mixture is crumbly. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared tart pan and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir in brie cheese and apples.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the tart pan, over the walnut crust. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden. Let cool before slicing and serving.
