Vegan Matcha and Green Tea Cake

This vegan matcha and green tea cake is the perfect treat to indulge in. Made with flavorful matcha and green tea, this fluffy and moist cake is sure to be a hit!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1/3 cup vegan butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup plant-based milk
  • 2 teaspoons green tea powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup vegan white chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C). Grease a 8-inch cake pan and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, matcha powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the vegan butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the plant-based milk, green tea powder, and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. Slowly add in the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Gently fold in the white chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread out evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let cool completely before serving.
