This Strawberry-Banana Banoffee Pie is an incredibly delicious dessert that is sure to be a hit at your next gathering. Made with a crunchy, buttery cookie crust, a layer of sweet bananas, a layer of luscious caramel, and topped with a creamy mixture of fresh strawberries and whipped cream, this divine pie is the perfect way to end any meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, 3 tablespoons melted butter, and white sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate. Bake in preheated oven for 8 minutes.
- In a medium saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter over medium heat. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Spread the sliced bananas over the bottom of the cooled crust. Pour the caramel sauce over the bananas. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- In a large bowl, whip cream until it begins to thicken. Add confectioners’ sugar, and continue beating until soft peaks form. Spread over the caramel layer.
- Arrange sliced strawberries over the top of the whipped cream. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
