Spinach and Feta Puff Pastry Swirls

This delicious, savory pastry is the perfect combination of flaky puff pastry, tangy feta, and earthy spinach. The warm swirls are an easy way to add a delicious appetizer to any meal and are sure to be a hit.

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup spinach, chopped
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold the puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface. Cut into 12 even rectangles.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the spinach, feta, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Divide the mixture among the rectangles, placing it in the center of each.
  4. Fold one side of the puff pastry over the filling and press firmly to seal. Arrange the swirls on the prepared baking sheet and brush each one with the beaten egg.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the swirls are golden brown. Serve warm.
