Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract and beat until light and creamy. Add the sour cream and mix until combined.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chunks.

  6. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just starts to bubble. Remove from the heat and stir in the chocolate chips until melted. Pour the glaze over the cooled cake.
