Pear and Chocolate Puff Pastry Pockets Recipe
This sweet and savory Pear and Chocolate Puff Pastry Pockets recipe is the perfect treat for any occasion! A delicious combination of sweet pears, rich chocolate and flaky puff pastry come together to make a delectable pocket of flavor. It’s easy to make and sure to be a hit!
Ingredients:
- 1 puff pastry sheet, thawed
- 2 pears, peeled, cored and diced
- ¼ cup dark chocolate chips
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon water
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the sheet into 8 even squares.
- In a medium bowl, combine the pears, chocolate chips, sugar and cinnamon. Mix until all of the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Place the pear and chocolate mixture in the center of each puff pastry square. Brush the edges of the pastry with the egg and water mixture.
- Fold the corners of the pastry up and over the filling, pressing the edges together to seal. Place the pockets onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown. Let cool before serving.
