Pear and Chocolate Puff Pastry Pockets Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 puff pastry sheet, thawed
  • 2 pears, peeled, cored and diced
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the sheet into 8 even squares.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the pears, chocolate chips, sugar and cinnamon. Mix until all of the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Place the pear and chocolate mixture in the center of each puff pastry square. Brush the edges of the pastry with the egg and water mixture.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry up and over the filling, pressing the edges together to seal. Place the pockets onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown. Let cool before serving.
