Maple Syrup-Sweetened Banana Bread

This simple banana bread recipe is made sweet and delicious with the addition of maple syrup. Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×5 loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork or potato masher.
  3. Add the melted butter and maple syrup and mix until well combined.
  4. Add the baking soda, baking powder, salt, and flour. Mix until just combined.
  5. Stir in the walnuts (optional).
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the banana bread cool for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
