Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup diced fresh strawberries

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cream and vanilla until dough comes together.
  3. Gently fold in strawberries. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead just until dough holds together. Pat or roll dough into a 1/2 inch thick circle and cut into 8 wedges.
  4. Place wedges onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown.
