Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, chilled
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup fresh herbs, minced (such as rosemary, thyme, oregano, and parsley)
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder. Cut in the butter with a pastry blender or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add the Parmesan cheese and herbs, then stir in the buttermilk until the dough comes together.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 1 minute. Pat the dough into a circle about 1/2-inch thick.
  5. Cut into 8 wedges and transfer to the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
