Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 sausages
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Grease a large baking dish with butter.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the onions and cook until they’re softened and lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Add the sausages and cook until they’re browned and cooked through, about 10 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, eggs, baking powder, salt, and pepper until smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Place the sausages and onions on top of the batter.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pudding is golden and crisp.
  5. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and cornstarch. Simmer over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until the gravy thickens, about 5 minutes.
  6. Serve the Yorkshire pudding warm with the gravy on top. Enjoy!
