Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cocoa powder, and dark chocolate chips.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
