Earl Grey Tea-Infused Scones

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons butter, cold and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground Earl Grey tea leaves

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and Earl Grey tea leaves.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the butter and sugar until creamy. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. Slowly pour in the cream and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  5. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until the dough is thick and sticky.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead 8-10 times. Flatten the dough into a 1-inch thick circle and cut into 8 wedges.
  7. Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let the scones cool before serving.
