Earl Grey Tea-Infused Scones
These delicious Earl Grey tea-infused scones are the perfect sweet treat for any time of day. Made with fresh ingredients, including Earl Grey tea leaves, these scones are sure to be a hit with friends and family. Enjoy them with a cup of tea, or have them as a snack on their own.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons butter, cold and cubed
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground Earl Grey tea leaves
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and Earl Grey tea leaves.
- In a separate bowl, combine the butter and sugar until creamy. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Slowly pour in the cream and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until the dough is thick and sticky.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead 8-10 times. Flatten the dough into a 1-inch thick circle and cut into 8 wedges.
- Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let the scones cool before serving.
