Decadent Irish Cream Brownies with Rich Irish Cream Frosting

Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Irish cream liqueur
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 cup Irish cream flavored frosting
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla and Irish cream liqueur.
- Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until blended. Fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips, if using. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean. Allow to cool before frosting.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies. Cut into squares and serve.
