Creamy Seafood-Stuffed Puff Pastry Vol-au-Vent

This delicious vol-au-vent is a great way to enjoy the classic French dish. Puff pastry is stuffed with a creamy seafood filling and baked until golden and crispy. It’s a great meal to serve for a special occasion, or just to impress your dinner guests.

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cooked crabmeat, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the puff pastry into 4 equal rectangles. Place the rectangles onto the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp, crabmeat, cream, wine, butter, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano. Mix until well combined.
  4. Divide the seafood mixture among the 4 puff pastry rectangles. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese on top.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden and the filling is cooked through.
