Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosted Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes

Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 12 cup muffin tin.
- In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the pumpkin and vanilla. Beat in the dry ingredients alternately with the milk.
- Fill the muffin cups about two-thirds full. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
- To make the frosting, beat together the cream cheese, butter, cinnamon, confectioners’ sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Frost the cooled cupcakes.
