Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, until everything is well combined.

Spread the batter into the prepared cake pan and top with the sliced apples. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top.
