Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (110g) butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups (450ml) milk
  • 1/2 cup (100g) sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (150g) fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup (150g) fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup (150g) fresh raspberries
  • Whipped cream, for serving (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch tart pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter and all-purpose flour until a dough forms. Press the dough into the prepared tart pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined. Pour the mixture into the tart shell and bake for 25 minutes, or until set.
  4. In a medium saucepan, combine the blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Cook over medium heat until the berries start to break down and a compote forms, about 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.
  5. Remove the tart from the oven and let cool completely. Top with the berry compote and a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
