This recipe is simple and quick, requiring only one mixing bowl. Mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, eggs, oil, vanilla extract, and hot water. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 30-35 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with cooking spray or butter.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk to combine.
  4. Add the eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  5. Gradually pour the hot water into the bowl, while stirring continuously.
