Ingredients:

  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C).
  2. Grease 4-6 ramekins with butter or cooking spray.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chopped chocolate and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate and butter are melted and smooth.
  4. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, granulated sugar, and salt until well combined.
  5. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and whisk until well combined.
  6. Sift in the flour and whisk until just combined.
  7. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.
  8. Bake the cakes for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly jiggly.
  9. Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool for 1-2 minutes.
  10. Run a knife around the edges of the ramekins to loosen the cakes, then invert them onto serving plates.
  11. Dust the cakes with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
