This savory tart is filled with a mixture of mushrooms, onions, and Gruyere cheese, all nestled in a puff pastry crust.
Ingredients:
- 1 package puff pastry
- 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to fit a 9-inch tart pan.
- Transfer the pastry to the tart pan and trim the edges.
- Prick the bottom of the pastry with a fork and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
- In a pan over medium heat, sauté the mushrooms, onion, and garlic until tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Spread the mushroom mixture over the pastry in the tart pan.
- Sprinkle the shredded Gruyere cheese over the top.
- Brush the beaten egg over the edges of the pastry.
