Mushroom and Gouda Quiche

This mushroom and Gouda quiche recipe is a delicious vegetarian option made with sautéed mushrooms, Gouda cheese, eggs, and heavy cream baked in a flaky crust. Perfect for brunch or a special occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded Gouda cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until softened and browned, about 10 minutes.
  4. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and prick the bottom with a fork.
  5. Scatter the mushrooms and Gouda cheese over the bottom of the crust.
  6. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, salt, and pepper.
  7. Pour the egg mixture into the crust.
